Camco Chemicals: What's New at Camco? 

The evolution of Camco's business has paced market dynamics over the past 51 years, allowing it to consistently meet and often exceed customers' expectations. In the past year, that continuing process has seen Camco focus on increasing its packaging capabilities -- particularly those associated with liquids.

There the primary emphasis has been on increasing our capacity to serve the growing number of mid volume liquid products with greatly improved capacity to fill the 16 through 32 once retail type spray bottle package. To that end, we’ve added two (side by side) lines designed to operate at speeds of 50 to 100 bottles per minute -- depending on the viscosity, foam and bottle size. Both packaging lines have the capacity to fill, cap, induction seal, date code, label and case. In addition either line can also be augmented with shrink wrap equipment to create “warehouse” packs of multiple bottle sleeves.

In the powder area, Camco now operates two high speed vertical form film and seal lines (in addition to the existing vertical fill unit previously in place) and a high speed carton line designed to allow filling the most popular package size.

In keeping with it’s commitment to maintain a top-flight operation in all areas, Camco recently completed an upgrade to its’ washout water treatment system to better address the growth of our business. Other improvements are outlined in the Verbal Tour section of this site -- as well as under the What’s new at Camco tab. But improvements aren’t limited to physical bricks and mortar investments. We’ve continued to address management improvements with increased emphasis on customer service activities.

Camco recently named Christian Ambjørn as Camco’s senior Customer Service manager and realigned all of its’ distribution services under Russell Turner. That set of changes is yielding great results in further improved ”front end” customer order entry satisfaction, as well as the back-end with monthly on-time-and-complete shipment performance that consistently operates between 99.75% and 99.99%.

Camco continues to grow and deepen its’ commitment to serve its’ customer base with greater production capacity, focused management and strengthened environmental responsibility. All of those activities are focused on one goal: to be there when you need us and to deliver quality that often surpasses what you expected.
